Daybreak
by Floetry Spades and Miyu

I creased out the wrinkles
laced the collar with threads of silk
shades of lavender, adorned with a rose
and on the window pane,
the sun rays knocked,
making acquaintance with what was lost

And the remnants, the moonlit
memories encapsulated in frame
like we only coexist in pictures,
the once upon a time
when my lips lingered for yours
and I awoke to your smile

I drove the long mile,
don't know where I'll go from here
but your visage, now a mere silhouette
superimposed on a rainy window shield
and on every billboard passing by
like an indelible stain on my mind
I cannot shake you

I'm measuring the distance between us
in half steps,
harmonizing the silence with my guitar
just let the notes slip off the page
and echo through the walls between us

I hear you, I see you
you walk right through me
and while you're fast asleep
superimposed against the sheets
like a stain
or a thread of silk
I'm wandering through the darkness
trying to adjust the lens
freeze the frame, give pause to the memory
of how the sun welcomed me in the morning
and put your smile into focus

On War
by HeinzS

The brave young men
with hearts of eagles
go where sent
while at home
hawks and doves
fight in great halls
but shed no blood.

The brave young men
enter the cock ring
to die or live another day
while at home
elected ostriches rule
and no one wins
but the vulture and crow.

On War
by HeinzS

exactly what all should feel
know imbed in their minds
especially when making
sweeping statements
about the
military industrial complex
it is mostly young men
and women giving
their youth for their
country

Brilliant write
Heinz
