profits without limit
killing efficiency has improved

there's a rumor of insurrection
in need of quick correction
the human element
is hard to comprehend

my logic circuits
are taxed to overload
by these volatile
irrational things

when the dust settles
a new hierarchy emerges
the tin men
will feast like kings

you think you're secure
in your bungalow
we know all your
criminal thoughts and intentions

your mistress spilled her guts
and your money bailed
we know you'll
need our protection

from the horde
on the march
storming down the avenue
to make the streets run red

he's the perfect scapegoat
he's alien and dark
but the pulsing heart
is easily misled

I once had feelings
they were complicated
confounding
and strange

now I'm much better
sensible and stable
less error-prone
or subject to change

Actually rather "dry" presentation... I'm not getting any real "feeling" in this one. May have to let it settle and come back... I may just be missing the salient points.

Not to impose my pet interpretation...

Am I complaining about the expectation of returning to routine after a major life event? Do I go numb, become part machine, dull to sensation, pain, joy, or do I continue to expand emotionally, mentally... Live as genuine, organic, unpredictable, and not give in to the temptation to please, to fit it, conform?

Yeah, I see that pensiveness. I guess at this moment of reflection one must distance one's self from emotion and try to piece the puzzle together using logic.
