In a war without worry
in a world without fear
one little push
the enemies disappear
a day for shopping
a chance for a drink
no point in stopping
no time to think
the flowers are in bloom
the air is crisp and clean
the sky wide open
whatever could it mean?
we're so happy
over here
in our cozy dominion
out of sight out of mind
shut out every
contrary opinion
in a room without walls
a body beyond feeling
the darkness inside
seems more appealing
than the promise of light
delivered by drone
what need I of rights
in this fact-free zone
and this prison island
so close and yet so far
the price of liberation
cheesecakes and a coffee bar
a day for shopping
a time to be gay
a little eavesdropping
the brave new way.
