i always wanted to go to that
historical restaurant
and try their famous soup
it was the perfect day
the sky was blue and it was sunny
how could i not notice?
"the sky is blue and it's sunny"
"the waiter has a mustache"
"that's the salad bar over there"
you said
really? do you promise?
the soup was really good like i had heard
well,it was until i got halfway done
"look! look! look!,
there's a fly in your soup!"
"don't eat it!"
really? why not?
maybe i would have been better off?
i mean, yeah, you stopped me from eating a fly
and confirmed i was in fact looking at a salad bar
and a waiter with a mustache
but none of which could save me from
the idea that the fly
had festered around crapping
in what i had already eaten
now could it??
damn..
it's like the entire day is a giant
vat of soup...
hey, how bout we pretend my car is a bowl of soup?
enjoy your long flight back home!

Re: buzzing off
True! Every day is full of flies. We swat at them, to get them out of our way. Then we go on, flies and all! And make the best of it.
"Poetry is what in a poem makes your toenails twinkle."----Dylan Thomas
