Let's Suffice It To Say

Post by bags123 » Fri Apr 29, 2005 6:49 am

Suffice It To Say

Let's suffice it to say;
Time passes away,
wih its concept
absurdly defined

By the minutes and hours
our lives are devoured
In the years joy, and pain
are combined

Let's suffice it to say;
I'll soon reach the day
when my fate
will be rudely designed

To lie dead in the ground
Eternally bound
When the last of my time
is behind

Let's suffice it to say;
I'll live,..come what may
Despite moments when I
feel maligned

If the choice is made clear
I'd rather be here
It's much better than
being confined.

Hello bags, You may of started to feel that this little gem was going to go unnoticed. My first read found the 4th stanza to be a little weak. Then by my third read it smoothed itself out. Funny how this happens. All in all I can relate to your words very easily as usual my friend. It's almost like we went to different schools together. :cool: Good stuff Take Care
Take me back, so far back, adjust this fate. Afeared lately of pen, in abscence of light. The fear I might stumble upon a plagiarized soul. Wipe this dark slate clean, regain my thought. Add the words that rekindle my depth of soul.

From: Summers Discontent 7-24-02

Sincerely

Good rhyme scheme and a well structured piece.

You put it here to toot your own horn; didn't you? :mrgreen:

You know I'm just kidding.

Thanks Beejay. By the way,... over here in America, we have a certain street slang called a "BJ". Which is a short way of describing the act of fellatio. I can't help but think of that every time I see your screen moniker. Just thought you'd like to know if you didn't already. :mrgreen: :hello:

Bagsy that was a nice touch though fellatio is rather too technical and may otherwise be a put off ! Let me admit I didnt know about that slang expression. I always thought the blow-job made (in)famous in the Oval Office was used in its entirety. Pun intended. It reminds me of a store chain called BJ's in the US but then I maintain to each his own though literally that could be a hard climb-down. With friends like you I sure dont need enemies. Bye & grin. If ever I am again in your part of the world we will discuss merits over :cheers: BeeJay :lol:
