I Sing of Love

Post by the quiet poet » Sat Feb 21, 2004 6:22 pm

This is a song
for the broken-hearted;
Those who can see no light,
whose dreams and nightmares
steal away their sleepless nights.

This is a verse
for the lonely hearts;
Those with no hand to hold,
whose hearts have gone away
and left them only bitter cold.

This is a lyric
for the bitter spirits;
Those who feel only rage,
whose anger slowly trapes them
in some soulless, blinding cage.

Love, my saddened,
lonely, bitter friends,
that is your key.
Though she may have gone,
or never come,
or come and left you scorned;
In the end
she comes for all:
For you, and me,
for the very scourges
of society.

So hug a loved one,
near or far,
and keep this verse within your heart:
Love is with you,
night and day,
no matter
who or where
or what you are.

Very good work...
This is a song
for the broken-hearted
Reminded me of the first verse of the Last Train Home song by Lostprophets... one of my favorite songs.
"Being smart is a good thing... it's the dumbasses that make you think twice about it."
