Envoys

Post by Delsol » Sat Feb 07, 2004 7:57 pm

Envoys

Doting faces drift near;
their luster less brilliant,
year after year –

Love-speak on word-clouds;
envoys extraordinaire!
You in masks -

pithy disguises.

Send no more endearments
through heralds
less kind -

You! You! You!

Please, I beg wildly;
leave pretense behind.

God.
God.
God.
God.
God.
God.
God.
God.

Del,
This poem brings up a lot of feelings in me. Regret, disdain, but at the end, acceptance and even serenity. It's great to see something new from your hand. Lovely, beautiful work. :cool:

Hello Delsol, Messengers of pretentious love. Not much I can say or do but reread this piece and look for a different road or curve. Take Care
Take me back, so far back, adjust this fate. Afeared lately of pen, in abscence of light. The fear I might stumble upon a plagiarized soul. Wipe this dark slate clean, regain my thought. Add the words that rekindle my depth of soul.

Sincerely

Welcome back to a voice from the past.... :cool:

The piece was, in its relative brevity, an honest emissary of a message we should all remember....not all who postulate are worthy...and His Word is the true envoy of His love.

There are many who say they know
and tell you all about it. Pushy faces
full of false bravado spewing misperceptions
that tangle the mind. But when they leave
you find the inner you again, the serene
you that knows......you. And in that
knowledge you can find your rest.

Great poetry, Del.

Thank you quiet poet; it makes me feel the same way. (soft smile) Thanks Gerry and Michael. Hope you both are well! Thank you Tom. It's nice to see you again. (smile) kuperian4ever - I may be asking for a direct reply from God in this piece, but your words here couldn't have hit the mark more poinantly. My little finger told me to come here tonight; now I know why. You said the exact words I needed to hear at this exact moment. Thank you…
