I found myself trapped inside a fiery furnace
The fierce heat whipped up scorching winds
That lashed out violently against me
Stripping me of my skin to bare tender nerves
My agony acute I screamed out my rage
The glowing coals of sulfur stank
Piercing my senses like a knife
Sickening me to revulsion
Oh God, I cried, why have I come to this place?
Looking out across the inferno came a soul suffering much as I
He was screaming out his pain and cursing God
He was a short man, wiry, with intense eyes
I screamed above the roaring winds, “What is this place?”
In Germanic speech he screamed, ”The Third Reich, heil!”
I am Adolph Hitler. What is your name? I demand an answer!
My mind spun deliriously. Adolph Hitler is dead, I screamed!
Then realization set in. I was in hell.
NO! I screamed out against the heat and flames
There’s been a mistake! I don’t belong here!
I’m a man of faith, of God! Why have I come to suffer so?
“Silence,” he screamed! You speak blasphemy!
God is the essence of evil and his name shall not be
mentioned in my presence! His eyes glowed hotter
than the fire he stood in. Smoke and flames spewed from
his mouth throughout his tirade. His face glowed white
hot and it wrought terror to the deepest part of me.
You will obey me, he screamed! I am your Feurer!
Spittle flew from his mouth and it hissed violently at
his feet. And in my shock and bewilderment I
suddenly saw him for the little man he was and laughed
out loud at his absurdity.
My man, I screamed back, look around you! You are in
hell suffering the pains of the evil, death, and destruction you
inflicted upon the world. I roared with laughter.
God has sent you here. Praise his name for his wisdom is finite!
You have no power Here! You are the Fuerer of nothing.
Again I roared with Laughter.
His rage became hotter and fire streamed from his eyes and
mouth like a blowtorch. Fool, he screamed, I commanded the
strongest military machine known to man. I conquered nations
in mere days. Millions stood before me and praised me! I held
the fate of the world in the palm of my hand. I was called a God
by my people and many felt the sting of my deity. I command you
to obey me! His rage was now out of control. Fire flashing from
ruptures forming in his flesh and skull.
You were a vile and evil man. A scourge to humanity. The right hand
of Satan. It was God in his infinite wisdom that drove you to ruin. His
divine gift to all was to destroy you and cast you to hell to suffer for
all eternity. Now look at you! You are nothing. I will not obey you.
You are now a comical little blow hard shooting flames from his mouth.
I roared in laughter again.
At this his rage increased. His countenance shook violently and as he
opened his mouth for another tirade his head exploded sending burning
coals in all directions. His body burst into flame and turned to ash that
blew away with the sulfurous winds.
I was so aghast that I didn’t realize the fire no longer scorched me.
My torment vanished and I stood on the coals undaunted by the fire
and brimstone. I looked down at my body and once again I had skin
and I was dressed in a clean, white linen robe. I looked up through
the furnace chimney and praised God.
Then within a wink of an eye I stood on a fertile plain. Green and
brightly flowered. Many beasts roamed about me and I whooped in delight.
Then suddenly a voice coming from everywhere said; you are saved
unto the domain of heaven, my child. Peace upon your soul. You are
blessed in my sight and my presence.
I fell to my knees and reached to the blue sky above me. Praise God, I cried.
For he is most holy. Praise be to God, I shouted! Silence.
Then I asked, but why, Holy Father, was I sent to suffer the flames of hell?
I have spent my life in reverence to your holy light?
Then God said, You cursed your mother on her 35th birthday. And you broke your
brothers favorite toys out of anger and malice. You tormented your little sister the
whole time you were growing up. For these things you had to be punished. And
besides, Hitler had grown used to hell’s flames so I sent you down there to remind
him where he was. For your good deeds and steadfast faith I have made you a saint
and you shall dwell in heaven with me forever more.
I was shown the way to the Golden Gates and the great and wondrous home awaiting
all of Gods people. I live now in a state of bliss and fancy. Grateful for God’s mercy and
wisdom he bestowed upon me on the day I spoke with Hitler.
