What are some of your favorite words?

Post by GoddessErika » Mon May 05, 2014 10:42 pm

Looking for some new vocabulary (without having to search a thesaurus)

I'll go ahead and start...
  • sapiosexual
    adoxography
    lascivious
    thwart
I like the definitions of the first 3, and the sound of the last one just cracks me up!

And... Go!

"Logos" : meaning the word or source. To me, in a sophist sense, where inspiration comes from. Sometimes referred to as a "Muse" on these pages.

Since my current model of non linear reality is based on all of us souls being constituents of the eternal, I tend to think of the word logos as a sort of community well from which we all draw creative inspiration. Because it is universal, we as a species tend to find intellectual and emotional resonance in whatever is drawn from this well and shared.

So, Logos, literally THE WORD in the creative sense, the spiritual sense and within a certain philosophical paradigm is my favorite 'word' right now.

cholecalciferol ... an essential nutrient deficient in most American diets

Ambivert ... someone who doesn't know which side of the vert they reside on.
Ambiverts are prone to posting rambling, pretentious diatribes online ... only to sneak back in later and delete them.

A Ambivert is a person with the characteristics of a extrovert and a introvert; as I indicated in a previous post (check any dictionary). If a reader's reaction to frequent hyperbolic statements copied from the political fringe, are regarded as "pretentious diatribes" then how would you describe the initial bigoted polemic? If you post it and then defend it, you own it.

A cockalorum, a flibbertigibbet and a persnickety whippersnapper are his most Nihilarian qualities. Samples are frequently on display within his inaniloquent volumes of alphabet vomit; thus providing empirical evidence that he is a widdiful pronk amply deserving to expire from tyrotoxism
