TIME TO GET RID OF BLACK FRIDAY

Every year there is nothing but violence and chaos and this year a number of big box stores had decided to open on Thanksgiving and feed the violence and chaos even more. As most of us on Thanksgiving were sitting down to eat, seven people in a Walmart on Thanksgiving day decided to beat the shit out each other over a damn cell phone. On top of that a grandmother was rushed to the hospital after being beat up by a soccer mom because apparently her little johnny needed the video game system even more. Even though the brat probably has like six or seven systems just laying around the house. This Black Friday must come to an end once and for all. It's getting way out of effin hand. We must put a stop to it. DEATH TO BLACK FRIDAY! DEATH TO PRE-BLACK FRIDAY! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Plus you don't have to watch Selena Gomez strut her stuff in a slutty red leather outfit.

It already is. Shopping is our family, our religion, our government, our passion... our raison d'etre. This must be so... the television says it is.

I shop at my own pace and time and prefer small, local businesses.

No, no, no, it must go. Before the 1960's.. Black Friday was non-existent. Don't believe me.. Look it up.. We must go back to the time before the 60's. When family and friends and holiday tradition came first before some big box store's greed or a mob of crazy soccer mom's idea of a deal. After all I highly doubt little Johnny needs another damn playstation when he has how many laying around the damn house.

And while we're at it we need to also get rid of Selena Gomez.. No wait, give it a few years and she'll go the way of Miley and Britney. Washed up Disney star with daddy issues doing the naughty videos for a living because her talentless butt can't get a sing gig to save her soul...

I wish everything would just close Thanksgiving and even the Friday after. I wish everything would close at least one day a week. Even online stores. What would we do?!? Oh my gawd!!!

I remember as a child, everything was closed on Sunday. And lots of stores closed Wednesday between Noon and 2 PM.

TIRED OF THE COMMERCIALISM LINKED with Christmas and every other holiday there is. Black Friday should be outlawed. But as long as someone out there is makin a buck it will only get worse. Holidays should be for families...spending time with loved ones...not running out to buy the latest, fanciest gadget that you probably don't even really need.

I outlawed it years ago before it even started and you can too just don't participate. I did my buying two weeks ago and for laughs and giggles checked the prices of my TV's and the Phone over the weekend and I wouldn't have saved a nickel. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are flat out bull crap all show no go marketing gimmicks.

Actually Mikey, you save more at the end of year sales because that's when the store has to get rid of items. Not so much to make room for new stock, just so they don't have to count it as inventory for the next year. I worked in retail a few years and learned all the tricks. And yes Black Friday and Cyber Monday are scams, that's why they must go!
