Writers Block

"Writer’s block results from too much head. Cut off your head.
Pegasus, poetry, was born of Medusa when her head was cut off. You have to be reckless when writing. Be as crazy as your conscience allows." - Quote from : A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections on the Art of Living

You cannot rationalize past writers' block. You have to free your mind completely. Sometimes that is what takes all the effort and time, but in the end it's always worth it.

But notice Pops, it takes some Irish man to point it out to everybody else. Like we missed it or something.... Thank you Bagsy for stating the obvious and for once again letting us inside that Irish mind of yours. Now we know what truly goes on in there... Geez..

As for you dear E.T. don't lose your head just yet, I believe that sometimes as writers we tend to think too much and try to force the creativity to flow forth from our minds. I think what you need to do is just relax, sit back and enjoy life for a bit. Once you do that the words will come to you... :hello:

Good advice. Sometimes if you think about it too much it doesn't work,...but if you just relax it may surprise you. Go out and play hockey for awhile. The exercise will do ya good. :book:

Not all Canadians play hockey, you old Irish fart. Geez, you're likely to start a war you keep that up.. And I don't know about you but I don't want to be at war with country that has a maple leaf on it's flag.. Makes you wonder what they're hiding up there... Who knows that whole welcome to Canada bit could be a disguise for what they're really planning... Bunch of moose roaming the streets of America on the attack or something... My god, whatever it is it's probably worse than when Granholm became Governor.. Good Lord, that was hell..

With me it's not so much writer's block as it is not giving in to the impulse.

I've always thought of you as an impulsive individual. Spontaneous,...sometime frivolous. At times salacious even.

Writer's Block is a martial arts move where you use your computer or notepad to block a punch....right? Tell me that's what it is, because I've done it. :smash:
