Winding down the road, cruising
Her mind wandering, still aching
Still bruising from where he hit her
Still seething from the small quarrel
It’s ok, it’s fine, she says
Already putting it to the back of her mind
She grips the wheel tightly
She groans lightly and wanders deeper
Back to a small cafe where she met him
A handsome young trick, he had picked
Her out of all the ones in there to approach
With a genuine smile he had her coaxed
And she fell in love instantly
But all the marks of love, don’t show well
Long-sleeves and hoodies and jeans
Always jeans and never a dress
Under so much duress
She hardly noticed the approaching headlights

Re: Headlights
It forecasts a sad ending yet leaves it up to our imagination which direction to take.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.
