Stormy seas swirl
Clouds of contempt
Obscure the truth
As the tide rumbles in
Waves of emotion fill my heart
We are oceans apart
This distance divides and destroys
Emotional and quarrelsome cyclones
Leave their path of destruction
I look to the gray and gloomy horizon
Sunny skies masked by clouds of confusion
The smile that can light up the world
Vacates your serene and tranquil eyes
They are filled with hate and anger
And I cannot reach you
I drown in your tempest tossed waves
So I swim back to shore
Waiting for the tide to ebb
Praying for calm oceans green
