Soft summer breezes blowing
sunshine glowing
one season
a reason
a moment spent
living and giving
building bridges
to reach and discover
new dances
the chances
we take and make
with each other
though the Summer's schemes
and dreams
never last
all the better
for lines we cast
throwing and showing
what we feel
sharing and preparing
an open heart
for Winter's chill
blowing
descending
ending moments
gathering
cluttering
like fallen leaves
floating and fleeting
drifting
disappearing
reluctantly riding
a cool Autumn breeze...

Re: Summers Descent
Hi Travis,
It's funny how we give certain attributes to seasons through the words we use to describe them. Just like your description of the last few weeks of Summer as it's "descent". Funny that we don't describe the end of winter the same way. I've never heard anyone call the last few weeks of Winter, it's "descent". Usually,...we're just glad the SOB's over,...and we can move on to the "Rebirth" of Springtime. At 58,...most would probably say that I'm in the beginning of my own descent,....but I think of it as being nearer the finish line. Closer to finally completing a very long race.
