A Day Of Learning
Dandelion seed floating free
borne by what we never see
I often wish it could be me
just to ease my pain
Translucent wing of dragonfly
oft has caught my lazy eye
as I gazed at summer sky
wishing for a rain
Silken strand of spider weave
stronger than you might believe
took no Einstein to conceive
yet fascinates my mind
Caterpillar soft and slow
caring not which way to go
crawls across my hand to show
that even bugs are kind
Raindrop falling to the ground
makes no fundamental sound
yet tells me there are more around
and I rise to go
All of this has made me see
that it is something just to be
and even my humanity
is more than I can know
