Grown to Hate

Tripping, sliding, losing control
These things that keep me from my goal
What is it that holds so tight
And gives me fear all through this night
I have learned so much ... in my dispair
I have lived this life ... when I did not care
I have climbed from ashes, woke in sweat
Lived hard enough to build regret
I have token vows, .. I would soon break
I have swore to things ... I did not make
I walked with shadows, closed my eyes
Ran from questions .. gave up on tries
As I have wiped off memories ... this filth incurred
Lost in this debris .. a voice unheard
Telling my story of destructive fate
And showed me a life, I have grown to hate
Stricken, frozen, unable to move
Flashes of a life ... quickly disprove
Curled with no breath ... I shake with intent
I feel I have no time ... can I repent!
Darkness is casting overhead
Bring forth emotions ... a familiar dread
Can I withstand just one more day
I think I can't ... if I am feeling this way!
