West Bound Train

I was scared of what life brought to me .... I was not sure where is my place
I have been traveling long enough ... that I have forgotten my own face
I remember long ago, when I decided to move on
I climbed aboard that west bound train .. my new life was here to spawn
From that day, I didnt look back .. I just moved from town to town
I didnt keep anything close to me ... I didnt want this train to slow down
I swam in waters to dark to see ... and I've seen skies that wouldnt rain
But I know that when my life did change ... I was boarding on that train!
I knelt upon a grave one night and prayed for death to come
I didnt know what else to do .... I was finally succumb
I hated who I was that day ... I had to let it go
If I could not change the way things were .. the real me would never show!
I have taken things to poison myself ... I have seen myself as scum
I hide in all the crevasses ... I was finally ready to go numb
But something grew from deep inside ... It sprang from me that night
It gave me all the will I needed ... I was again ready for this fight
It came to me and took my hand ... It showed me I was strong
It said to me it could hear voice ... it played for me my song!
I have a chance to live again, It has not been all in vein
I would never think or wish away the day I road that train!
I am happy with the things I've shared .... I learned to live my life
It feels so good to live again ... as I bury one more knife!

Thank you ... and yes I feel I am far from alone in my words as well ... I have been around more watching than writting but that usually gives me more to write about !
