An owl, in her wisdom,
Sat silent did she,
Surveying the world
From the top of a tree.
.
Tried to talk to a mouse
Who was scurrying by,
But, it would not stop to debate,
With that scourge from the sky!
.
Most of its kin had fallen as prey,
To that owl, near that oak,
Leaving..
Precious little to say!
.
Later, the owl sat in deep silence,
Digesting its thoughts,
And the last of the mouse,
It had so recently caught!

Aww... I hope it was a different mouse. Good use of rhyme. Not "forced" or stilted.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.
