It's Time To Settle Down

It’s time to settle down.
The clock has rung its bell.
The season’s getting cold —

And I am growing old.
The road just goes around —
But all is just as well.

The story must be told —
Again — again to tell —
The world is growing old:

It’s time to settle down.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready to "settle down". I think I may still hve a few wild oats that I'd like to sow.

I remember feeling very good about getting your glowing review -- but even though you sent it to me a day after I posted the poem, it has taken me about half a year to BEGIN to understand the complexities of being a computer-based gentleman.
