You have killed me

Post by Lady Byron » Wed Sep 22, 2010 4:26 am

You have killed me …

You have killed me …
But it takes me a long time to die.
I have ceased to live,
I hardly exist
In the turmoil of my anxieties
In the grasp of my fears,
Raped by my terrors.
I’m crawling
In the vomit
Of my eternal grief,
In the rain
Of my endless tears.
Deep sadness
Is my shadow.
Sometimes, I take my head
In my hands
And sink into nothingness
Or I cry
They give me pills,
As if pills could
Mend a heart;
As if pills could repair a broken soul.
They drug me
And I sleep in a limbo
Of haunting memories,
Of awesome dreams.
You have killed me…
But it takes me a long time to die.
I have tried to leave
That useless
And painful existence.
But THEY know better
And brought me back to life.
THEY want to shut me
In an asylum,
So that no one can hear my trials
Anymore,
So that no one can see
My bleeding wounds.
So that I stop to be a bother
For Society;
So that you can live on,
Like an honest citizen
Unsuspected.

You have killed me…
But it takes me a long time to die.

Thanks a lot for having the patience to read me. I'm not sure to deserve the compliments. But thank you all the same.

Anyway, I'm not going to keep on posting. I tried doing it again, but it's not for me and now, there are so many people, so many texts, that you can't read and comment all the poems you would like to.

On the top of it, I feel more comfortable, writing what I feel I want to write, without worying if people like it or not, and maybe sharing the poems with a couple of friends.

But again... Thank you for your contribution.

You need never worry here about whether people like or do not like your writings. We enjoy your participation at whatever level meets with your comfort zone. But in the end you are the one who must decide what that encompasses.

You are always welcome at the Pages, Lady B.

Thanks for taking the time to write to me. You're very thoughtful and I'm grateful for this.

Thank you for your warm welcome too. But I think, I just cannot post on forums. It attracts me. Every time, I think I'm going to like it and it doesn't work. It interferes with my writing.

I'm a solitary writer and never think my stuff is interesting enough to share it... sometimes with a friend or two.

But I regularly visit the "Pages" and read at random. I don't comment, but I read.

So, I'm going back to my solitary writing... Maybe, it's selfish, maybe it's because I can't bore everybody with my texts.

Thanks for all. Long life to the "Pages", a home for a bunch of marvellous poets.

Thanks for your post. I'm glad you like my avatar. I'm sorry if you miss it. As long as you don't miss the poetry, it's not too bad.

Kind Regards.

How close to home that is. You bravely express your self so hauntingly well.
My Pop summed it up well when he said...
"Mike... a woman's love is like the morning dew...
falls on daisies and horse turds just the same".
thanks Pop... which one am I?
