O! What dark and brooding demon
Doest thou yet perceive?
Lying abed amidst the down and lace
Eye flitting to the aperture.
'Tis but a shadow of thine own self
Gazing back with baleful eye!

Aye... we all have we demons don't we... I just keep a constant vigile over mine.. never to slip or to do anything that could set them free...

Good poem nicely written.

Hello Ravyn, "Tis but a shadow of thine own self" definitely classical, brilliant.

Rayven,
I love the classical persona this evokes. Nicely written and so true.

ty all ... it's kinda funny but ... do any of you remember john and his 'elegance' tirade a few months ago? he had a poem that he wanted everyone to analyze and it didn't go quite as he had planned ... and i submitted this little snippet ... which i believe took me about 45 seconds to complete ... as another offering for analysis ... anyway john took his thread and went home and i never got my poem analyzed

How quickly the cream of the crop can hop out
I quite enjoyed the classical side and also rather
enjoyed the message inlayed within . Very good
pen, Rav..very good.
