The Ravyn's Book - Proceeds to Charity

Post by Berlie » Thu Mar 17, 2005 10:01 am

I wanted to remind everyone that all proceeds from the sale of Jenn's book "The Ravyn: Riding the Cyclone" will be donated to charity (split between a battered women's shelter and homeless shelter) as was her wish.

I just got notice of the first royalties payment from the book sales from Lulu. It was only $12.21.

If you wish to raise that amount some you can purchase her book at Lulu here: http://www.lulu.com/content/48376

Note: the book is classified as having mature content so in order to see the book at Lulu you need to be registered and your content settings need to be set at mature or higher.

Or you can buy it through Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com via the links below:

If you don't know who the Ravyn is and wish to read her story you can do so here: http://www.poetrypages.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=41

Thanks!

such an awesome book:

The poetry and prose of Jennifer Sloan is a haunting walk down some of the darkest of roads that Frost along with Poe would not have ventured together. Yet a single soul born of Ravyn courage did. Not by choice but by fate. This is a collection of her 'scribbles' that are shocking, reverberating, hope filled and enchanting in many ways. A journey into the darkest realms this world holds and an awakening into the most brightly lit love and hope the human spirit can ever hold. A tale not only of courage and survival, but also of life and the struggle to find happiness which Jenn was able to achieve before she shed her Ravyn wings and accepted angel wings in their place...
"Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings - always darker, emptier and simpler."
Friedrich Nietzsche
