Great little piece, Jenn! The inspiration, scary...I've often thought of the dark side of humanity, my mom for years read crime/murder books and would pass them on to me. I'm glad to see you!! *s* I got an e-mail the other day from an author at AD who followed my link to you and would like to contact you, I'll forward it to you and you can either contact her or I can. How are the girls?

standing tall and proud
the pillar of society
wreathed in fronds of respect
clasps his hands about her throat
'accidents happen'
and the pillar falls
with a deafeningly silent roar

Author's Note: i just read an article about the police chief in washington who shot himself and his wife in a parking lot ... lots of domestic violence in her attempts to get a divorce ... their children in another car close by knew their father had killed their mother as soon as they heard the shots ... i hope she lives ...
