Friends and Family?

Post by thief of dreams » Sat Jun 19, 2004 5:30 pm

There were four,
Ravens dancing in air,
Then I saw more,
Streaking,
Gliding,
Ruffling black feathery hair.

One landed,
Cawing at me,
From the street light,
Above.

The rest played,
Like angels,
Chasing,
And I thought.

Could that be you?
Or just a coincidence,
Cawing for my attention,
Ruffling feathers,
I swear I saw a wing,
Wave at me.

I didn’t understand,
Until later,
Maybe it was you,
Introducing me to,
Your father, your brother David,
And a few close friends,
Who were waiting for you.

I could have cried for you,
I could have cried for our loss,
But I smiled,
And waved back,
Just in case.

Miss you Jenn.

Beautiful... Just like the Ravyn...

I am sure she must have read this once you posted and smiled at your words...
And as I watch you in this light
I never realized your eyes were full of
So many colors.

i spent a fair amount of time here this morning reading the rayvns story. i feel a bit cheated at never getting to personally talk to this strong, awe inspiring woman and at the same time privileged to get such a large glimpse of what made her the woman she was and the breath taking writer she always will be. my condolences to all those who had the chance to correspond with her through the pages and to all of those who knew her in reality. she lives on because of you all which is the greatest gift there is.

It's really funny because if you told her she was awesome she would log off and not come back for two days while she settled back in to her 'don't notice me' bunker, occasionally peeking out to see what was going on...

She was the strongest person I ever knew, and the hardest person to get to know. And as long as her writings stay out there in some form, she will always be here, saving lives with words, where ropes of safety have failed...

Her children are we, now. Love you, Jenn, and you, Thief.
