Like It's Always Been

Post by bags123 » Tue Mar 25, 2014 1:50 pm

Like It's Always Been

It's always been,
and will always be
No matter when
we'll all agree
To persevere
our troubles here
Endure our fears
when they appear
Then hopefully
as we near the end
we've made at least
a few good friends
Who shed a tear
A quiet "Amen"
When laid to rest
Like it's always been

This had a great cadence for me. Rolled right off the tongue (couldn't help but read it aloud) very nicely.

Lovely poem.
