Where canal barges can transport.
Fruits of their labour easily
From far inland to some sea port.
Where the old masters used to paint.
Perfecting styles of artistry.
Which demonstrate their mastery.
portraying well both light and shade.
They are regarded still today
As artists of the highest grade.
Their portraits can command today
Fantastic sums at auction sales.
When signed by some old masters hand.
