My privilege.

Short rondeau.

Brushing her hair by candle light.
My lady accords to me the right.
To see her with her hair let down
Clad only in a silken gown.
Brushing her hair.

We have been wed for forty year.
There’s strands of silver in her hair.
I do not find that hard to bear.
I love to see her I declare
Brushing her hair.
