Birth
Progeny arises from the womb
Resonance vibrates enlivening cells
Anima awakens the rhythmic heart
Identity one, yet not alone
Soul once unseen now draped with form
Embarks afresh this journey of life

Looky! I wrote in a form that is a form.
I wanted to write something about praise so thought I'd try acrostic, but didn't have birth in mind when I started. It just came out that way.
Birth (acrostic)

Wow - and I thought I hated acrostic poems. Sorry - twenty years of reading name acrostics can do that to you.
But back to your poem - it is rich and full and wonderful!
Is there a hint of before life here?

After I wrote it and read I thought it sort of sounds like I might believe in reincarnation....but I don't...not in a literal sense.
I do believe in cellular memories .... that memories are passed along via cells .... and that somewhere within us we have memories as far back as the first human ... and that we all originated from one blood.
(Now, if I could just remember where I put my keys! )
Thanks for reading and commenting Graeme!
