in a bit of a web search, it appears that Ludic is where every line starts with the next letter of the alphabet - it can contain other words, and my understanding of ABCdarian or Abecedarian is that every word must start with the next letter of the alphabet...
that would make this poem fit the ABCdarian form (well done, Erika!) but I think your other one actually has some other words in it that aren't alphabetical, right?
hope that helps!

Ok so "resoundingly soundless" is pushing my luck a bit but it is an oxymoron ... no worse than "deafening silence" or "goverment intelligence" Anyway those ABCderians are hard ... Gimme a break eh !

Actually I can find no reference to "ludic" in poetic terms. According to Websters:
lu·dic adj.
Of or relating to play or playfulness: “Fiction... now makes [language] the center of its reflexive concern, and explodes in ludic, parodic, ironic forms” (Ihab Hassan).
nothing about poetry. I've always known the "ABC..." poems as "ABCderian", and it is the first letters of each line that count. Obviously, if every word starts with the succeeding letter that also counts (each word being a separate line in that case).

Ok then... I give up on properly naming them. I got Ludic from our site's definition in the poetic forms forum:
http://www.poetrypages.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12221
Then Shane, Ven, and Nin corrected and re-corrected the definitions for me, and well, now... I'm just confused again. It would be nice to know though so I don't have to go through the corrections, edits, and explainations too many more times... <img src="http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/9056/banghead6ut.gif" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

The link is psychopoet's post and has no reference link. His example is a piece where each successive word begins with the next letter of the alphabet.
If anyone has a reference link (I couldn't find one) please post.

I dunno either. All I know is that if you click on the Sticky: "Examples of poetic forms," there is a list of forms. Ludic is one of them. If you click it, you get psychopoets post. Which to me is misleading if it's not correct.
