Rattlewings

Post by Cass » Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:34 am

When the heart of the night owl calls
through the tangled and broken limbs
and the forest with gallery walls
offers soft benevolent hymns

I will walk to the catkins, low
seek a voice through the wormwood veil
an elongated moon hums slow
as the shapes of the fire grow pale.

You are comely, a limb without sound
I am sleepwalking, filling my eyes
with your love, every step loses ground
and my fingertips smooth in comprise

Now the evening is spread into wings
and the fields far behind me lay bare
as the sound of the rattlewings
carve a peace from the woodland's lair.

Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.

I'm curious as to what form this is, actually :book:

Shouldn't it be moved elsewhere? :?:

Unless abab/cdcd/efef/ghgh is considered a "form" these days???
