I Find It Odd
by Sailor55
Every second Muslim likes to call himself Mohammed
But the image of Mohammed is forbidden
Every other Christian keeps a picture of his savior
But those who say they’re Jesus best stay hidden
Every Jew, except a few, has reverence for Jehovah
But dare not use his name and they’re not kidding
Each atheist is puzzled by this lack of normal logic
But deities lack no fools to do their bidding

willow
by despicability
This cat knows I’m leaving soon
Hello clever cat
Shes got her claw stuck again
Hello silly cat
She comes up every morning just to lie on my bed
Lazy cat.
Sitting watch outside my door
she dribbles.
It’s all a part in her play
her charisma;
My cat.
Ears forward, they twitch
nervously listening.
If a mouse appeared
she’d run
To me.
My cat.
She needs to keep her food down
Hello skinny cat
She mew’s and purrs and runs to me
Hello noisy cat
I wish she liked others more
Shy cat.
She meows, I call
playing to her game
she pounds up the stairs
through my door
to me.
My cat.
Getting older now
yet still as clumsy
as playful
as ever.
She sits on my shoulder
like a parrot.
As noisy.
‘you hungry?’
‘Meow’
If I could I would
take her with me.
She’s my cat for she
adopted me.
She sits on me
and claws my leg
and I wince
She never claws others.
Silly cat.
