Where The Sidewalk Ends
by kayraylee
I have journeyed some wondrous hours
in early morning's transparent shadows.
As I walk slowly under large oak trees
golden beams of light cover
glossy silver sidewalks.
Here in my solitude, early morning birds sing
to me. Northerly breezes ripple leaves, thick fallen
to the ground. They have painted the brown earth,
honey yellow, crismon red, light and dark
shades of green.
I look around at the last glowing sights of Autumn.
Winter is coming; taking possession of nature's
bright colors. A delicate morning I will soon
journey. It will fill my soul with soft
white, light; to where the sidewalk ends.
