Poet of the Month, September 2007: nrip4life

Post by heinzs » Sun Sep 02, 2007 10:15 pm

This was a difficult decision this month. There were so many contenders, but in the end the award goes to our own

(I'll be back later to present some of his poetry)

pray for me
by nrip4life

lord i dont know how much more i can take
please open my eyes to you
your patience kindness humility
pray for me please that i can realize
that i can have the courage
to do whats right for the world
instead of what i want
and be grateful for what it..
please i need you i need me
i cant do this without you
please take my hand
help me guide myslef
never had a father barely a mother
never a constant home or friend
walking a path and i need your touch
open my mind please
so i dont fade out of your creation
by my own will and not yours
take my hand if anything is out there
beyond this world
because i cant help but feel i dont belond here
please im just....im just...walking alone
no matter how many walk with me with love
and i push them away in fear..
walk with me take my hand
allow me to be a witness
take me please

a spontaneous praise

i struggle to perfect myself when by your side
even after i realize my true self emerges when with you
your gestures your body language stills my tongue
you look at me and wonder my thoughts
when all im doing is painting a memory
adoring that which you cannot see yourself
ive centered my entire world around your heart
if two people were ever one it is our bond
rarely am i around to hold you
but how often we make love on an astral level
you send your tears through the rain
and i smile upon your bed through moonlight
i have become drunk with the longings of your touch
i envy those who take for granted the wonders of your prescence
oh when shall i be set free to roam with you among the fields
our circamstances our torchered by mans law
but according to heaven wishes we are to be merged
each day when you torment my mind with pleasure
and rip at my heart with burning love
the trinity of my being unites
only to find i cannot share with you the wonders i see
i dont not speak to create a poem
i do not write to astound your heart my love
i simply must release the desire within my soul
so full of you i cannot contain all i wish to keep

Law vs. Faith and the art of balance
by nrp4life

LAW-darkness pulling life down
silent screams shattering the windows with unseen power
a mangled fist pounding steel spikes
mind trapped in a vice
the mirror only posseses vision only nightmares release
sleep is the element which numbs the pain of awakening
suffering in a scene of beautiful serentiy
reality as artificial as plastic, stail as an endless desert
forced to swim above an ocean of sharks only by ignorance
coldness being and understatement of frozen life
a precious diamond concealed with bitter gravel
the eyes see the lust but can assume no further
forced to stay in a room witnessing the happiness through a window
but that window cannot be broken by expression
heart struggling on ever beat
living without her sweet caress
only the soul shattering, joyful, tearfilled, when life once seemed a life
looking into tomorow only to find looking into another
in hope for sudden unknown release of mind or circumstances
the empty truth is full but the rose has withered for it has not all the elements of true life: this is by law

FAITH-a distant light supporting a dark filled empty soul
silent whispers of wisdom through the screen of the unbreakable window
a bandage overlapping the self chosen pain of a day
mind fulfilled with a wholness of release unto a warmer realm
mirror a reflection of inner beauty and dreams
Awake to be comforted by the warmth of the sunrays
mercy and love followed by a scene of dark and meaningless hate
a path smooth as the waves of an undiscovered pond
accepted to swim through an ocean of sharks by grace
warmth an understatement of burning passion
a dull grey shell concealed by a precious pearl
the mind watching the sun gradually fade
and the heart witnessing it rise with rejoice
traveling an adventure of wonder but still lying in the same room
behind the scene of freedom
heart is warm with gratitude for its blessed blood flow
holding gently the heavenly memories of her soft sweet caress
once again helping to get through
looking forward to another day to hold her again
knowing she will always be near in spirit if not form
neglect may be plentiful,
but the rose sways confidently in the summer breeze
supported by each elements of life: this is by faith

THE ART OF BALANCE-Existence....

To all those whom i can relate

to all the souls deprived of love
lost without direction
homeless and empty
forced by the law
to the ones who feel
no matter how
many people know you
to all those who stay
silent when they know
the answer
to the addicts who know
not to judge others
to the alcoholics you feel
you know my reasons
and ill dirnk to that
to the poets whos mind
are a lighthouse to those who
need to find land
to the kind
who understand life
is not made for hate
to the true
who let go of fear despite ridicule
to those who i can relate
Never give up!!

please evolve

it seems i dont know where i am
it seems i dont know where im going
we all get to the point in our lives
when we ask what it this all for.....
if you can seek death
and live means nothing
why not seek life?
is it in vain...
these days life is a race from place to place
and we have forgotten what life is
not a career but a live not sn existence
forced by societies whip
why do peole commit suicide
you ridicule them
i say they are justified
man had forced this world into a status competition
and we look not in the cup
but the wax that shine the outside
we will destroy ourselves because our ego
our technology and the macho mans
lack of compassion
we are all strangers
we only speak to those we feel comfortable with
if you can fall in love with on human
what scienific fact can tell you
you cannot feel the same way about any other human being
when will we evolve when will we realize that
we are all part of what we refer to as god allah buddha
i say to you all paths lead to the same place if you seek "god"
smile more talk more avoid human affection less
we are dying as a family
and if i dont know you----
from the novel the five people you mett in heaven
strangers are only family we have yet to meet......i love you all
its all relative my friends....
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.
