Truth Within Insanity
by Kimmyjean

Your mind has malformed
Submerged in life’s insanity
Falling within a existence
Of a cancerous chasm
Dark entities reside close
Within corridors of lunacy
Drawing you with comforting arms
Cradling your cerebral capacity
Inside its foreboding grasp

Sinister laughter surrounds
From your corporal form
Uncontainable waves
Unstopping in its resound
Overtaking in rant and rave
Merging into outskirts of sanity
Dancing alongside edges
Of conceptions civilization
Riddled within your psyche

Reasoning beyond your reach
Overriding common sense
Pushing you away from
Lines of authenticity
Voices masticate through mind
In paradoxes dominion
Rambling in unisons
Reverberation in echo
Crowding internal intellect
Searching for escape

Alone and restrained
Compiled into a container
Boxed in trepidation
Never concluding
Never bringing to an end
Insanity rage beyond
Overpowering your
Fundamental nature
Reaching beyond
Truth within Insanity

Shattered Little Girl
by TheScifiGuy

Four men in a rusty stolen car
Drank the stormy night away.
Laughing, and joking about the past;
Dreaming of their golden days.

Lightning flickered, and figures appeared
Between a dark narrow alley.
A girl's voice shrieked, one man peered,
And didn't believe what he could see.

He screamed to the others "Stop the car!"
Then he ran into the black.
Targeting all the hoodlums,
Getting ready to attack.

Leaving a torn little girl,
They quickly scattered away.
"Are you ok sweety?"
Was all he could muster to say.

Teary-eyed she forced a smile,
Biting through all her pain.
Slowly walking back to his friends,
Both were drenched in rain.

"I have to find her mother." he spoke,
Pleading them to go on.
The man quickly turned around,
But the shattered little girl was gone.

After many long, cold hours of searching
The man decided to go home.
He turned on the television
And slowly picked up the phone.

As he stood paralyzed before the screen,
Thunder rolled and lightning flashed.
Three men in a red stolen car
Had died in a fatal car crash.
