Daddy is Here
by chthon

I stood, bewitched by your tiny beauty,
my world forever changed.
Your little fingers clasped my heart
and I embraced the newness of you.

I told you then I would always love you.
Be there for you.
Would pick you up when you fall.
But you fell too soon.

As the monitor beeped
with it's mountains and troughs,
I watched as its' landscape
diminished.

Through the darkness that enveloped
my world, your light broke through.
So small, yet so large in my life.
As years pass, you remain clasped to my heart.

Daddy is here.
If only you were here too.

Anyone can be passionate, but it takes real lovers to be silly.

This is not something I really need to be reading eight months along. :crying: Beautiful.
sticks and stones are hard on bones
aimed with angry art,
words can sting like all things
but it's silence that breaks the heart
