This week's winner:
Tangled
by The Quiet Poet
Winner: Poem of the Week: December 19, 2004
Caught in a tsunami;
tangled up in you.
Yeah, I know better,
but better don't know me.
So I'll sit a spell
and kiss your eyes.
The lights are bowing low,
cold and huddled,
'neath the moon.
Oh, sweet lady,
your lips are sweet dust;
the stuff of angels.
I know my limits,
but limits don't know me.
So I'll wait a while
'neath your branches.
Long dark curls,
skin like porcelain.
Lips like flame.
Damn, I'm in love again;
tangled up in you.
