On the Morning When I found you Dead

by bags123

On the morning when I found you dead
Dried blood below your nose had bled
I screamed in anguish by your bed
with thoughts of prayers I’d left unsaid

The night before I rubbed your back
I felt your pain, and heard it crack
You bravely spoke of these attacks
As merely one of life’s sidetracks

And when that night I left your side
I promised you time would abide
To mend your body mortified
Returning strength I had implied

On the morning when I found you dead
I held you tight I kissed your head
I wiped my tears on your bedspread
with thoughts of prayers I’d left unsaid.

This is an awsome piece! Great write. It sent chills up my body! Simply wonderful!
sticks and stones are hard on bones
aimed with angry art,
words can sting like all things
but it's silence that breaks the heart

I have come to the conclusion that I just can't read poems like this because I;m so sensitive and I just cry and cry. It's wonderful bags and I really felt the pain in your piece, and yes, I cried! I'm such a weenie. Great job!
