There was a two-way tie this week:
myself ~ in celebration
flaunting autumn orange
I am
my mind moves
with brilliance in the season of release
I wear my gaudy colors
to trumpet to the world that I have mastered time
my apparel changed
from the simple variants of a single dye
to a handsome gown that parades
nature’s perfect gems flashing red, yellow, orange
let me wonder at my foliage
let me shake it in your face
and
let me float free in the breeze
and fly in the storm to scatter my richness on the earth
I nourish the potential
I feed the seed
my fall is the brightest of all seasons

and #2:
For Everyone to Read
God sits, his own hands bound,
By his own scarred brands.
Found,
In all that he has given,
For which he cannot take back,
The unforgiving.
We throw bibles and religions,
Into the skies to worship,
We fight wars over beliefs
Pity the piloted pigeons,
Of pagan like practices,
We die.
He sits upon his sterling throne,
Watching and weeping
As we burn to the bone,
All that we love to hate,
Until we stand-alone.
We cry.
His scream is held back,
For he wants us to know,
There is only one God,
But he can’t peel the pyre back,
For if he could show,
Us the true way of God,
Then it would all slip through the crack.
We try.
In confusion we carry out,
What some bastard man,
Once wrote in a book.
Praying that others will be damned,
So we can get a closer look,
At what it means,
To hold his hand.
He cries.
For all of us he does cry,
As those innocent die.
And we silently lie,
As we ride the self established
Staff of glory,
Into the pits of riddance,
And we smile the whole while
As we destroy the heart of Him.
He tried.
We are too ignorant to see the truth,
That above the good book and the religious rights,
Awaits the true creator or all
And he does not answer to just one name.
Our God.
Is All.

... and his words purge up and outward,
expelled and onward through desert dust swallowed,
sands he says that gorge on simple sensibilities.
And, now he spits fragments, grit, extended vowels and elongated syllables
over cracked lips. Their sounds fall
piling round his boots… ~ jeannerené
