A major comeback
As seconds drift away
The ten became four
And before we knew it
We were on the run
The ball seemed unfamiliar, though
Can't seem to put in inside that hole
Many free shots go to waste
In my endeavor to score
Then it came to me
I must go for the ball, right?
Leave the scoring to others
While leave the dirty work to me
The seconds tick...
My moment of glory came
but not in form of a game winning shot
But in the form of a game winning hustle!
I have not lived up to my name
When I made 4 crucial three's in the last game
But I lived up to my real name
Of hustle and sacrifice for the ball
Then... it finally dawned to me
The reason why I can't perform that well
Is my ego...
My ego wouldn't want to lose
My ego wants to impress others
My ego wants my crush to go gaga over me
But wait!
Isn't it when I write,
I write to express
never to impress?
Then it's the same as to playing basketball
I play it to win in any means possible
Using the limits of my body to abide by the rules
Make my team win!
Must it matter if our team's ace
Gets to impress our crush?
I must focus.
I must leave distractions behind.
Because girls are not supposed
to be my life!
They must be my partners,
not the one that hinders me...
Hear this, people of the world!
"I play because it's the same as breathing,
And without it my life is nothing!
Though i have to sacrifice everything,
Including my ego,
I'll undertake the blows
Because this game
is my life!"
The Win for the Team, a Win for Me, a Lose for my Ego
The Win for the Team, a Win for Me, a Lose for my Ego
Action is what differentiates reality from fantasy.
