Revenge

Post by heartstrong » Thu Feb 15, 2007 6:20 pm

I’m not your pretty little diamond
Your priceless ruby ring
I’m not the gold hidden in your safe
Or a caged bird forced to sing

I’m regret

Stop acting like you know me
You can’t even spell my name
I’m taking back my credit card
I’m giving you the blame

I’m forgotten

I’m finished hiding all the bruises
All the scars I’m forced to wear
You can’t cut me anymore
I’m sick of playing fair

I’m dying

It’s too bad I’m writing from a bed
With chains around my wrists
I guess watching your blood spill onto the floor
Was a temptation I couldn’t resist
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
