Kissing Rocks

Post by DarleneG » Sun Jul 15, 2012 1:16 pm

Lip-locked in a stony embrace,

I saw two rockfish kissing,

Face to face.

The two rockfish were in an aquarium at SeaWorld.
I had seen them there before, but they were
seperated. At that time, there was no movement.
No sign of life. They looked just like two large
gray rocks. But now, their bodies were upright,
touching and leaning against the other. Round
black eyes were staring each other in the face.
They were lovers! I regretted not having my
camera with me. I was witnessing the mating
game! But, even rockfish need their privacy. I left.

:hello: Heinz, Oh! So they were doing more than kissing. Innocent me!

I have been wanting to thank you and the others who nominated me for July member of the month. I'm deeply touched. Not expected at all since I've only joined about a month ago! Where do I go to thank everyone?. I'm still learning my way around.

Members' Discussions forum is open to anything non-poetry related. Feel free to join in or to start one of your own. I periodically clean out the back pages to make more room at the front.

Thank you, Heinz, I did post in Members Messages forum and gave some information about myself and what type od poems I write. The connections poets have with each other is so important for feedback and growth.
