I gave up my watch when I retired.
The minor fact that the electro magnatism in my system kills watches wasn't the main reason ( by the way my record for stopping a watch was 15 minutes)
The real reason was that I decided that time would no longer control my life.
By the way don't you just hate digital watches - that time flashing out at me to the perfect second makes me feel obsessive/compulsive.
I think I will live on what Tony Hillerman calls indian time in his mysteries.
