Love Fades

Love Fades

It always seems to be that way
When love is young it's there to stay
Then time moves on and passion fades
Forgotten, lost, perhaps mislaid

On dusty shelves with poems prepared
From different times when life was shared
When love was young it planned to stay
Then time moves on and passion fades

It always seems to be that way
Love's left behind more everyday
Forgotten, lost, love's passion fades
What grows so fast too soon decays
I prefer to keep an open mind,....but not so much that my brains fall out.- Carl Sagan

In my life it decays just like ununoctium.
Damn, it was there and then it wasn't.

My critique is that this is well written
I enjoyed reading it, pondering it, and looking up elemental decay rates

This poem, to me, is ready for the serving table. Eat 'em up

Death will be your final victory over life
Rejoice, for victory comes even as you live
Spread your arms and embrace the future
