Driven by a broken heart
For long I’ve been astray
Looking inside and out
I see no heart to heal
But I’m still feeling

Not only revealing
But also concealing
My eyes clear, and blur
Honesty, so hard to keep
True love, so hard to find

Reading minds, heart weakens
Wide open, so easy to hurt
Don’t jump to the conclusion
It’s fragile yet solid as it can be
Like a liquid stone

From within, and without
Is it so willing to give, and take
Dusting off is the way but make sure
You keep your feet on the ground
Egos, too strong or weak to win

Facing what all this is
There come illusions and disillusions
Through numerous layers what’s to be found
No peace and love nor nothingness
Vast emptiness that never stops creating

William Blake’s “Where man is not nature is barren”
Where man is, is nature hidden
There seems no secret and all is bare
You say no and you say yes
Light shines, when as one

I am amazed at the depth you have accomplished in this short piece (though it is a bit longer than your usual writings). It is a wonderful examination of the "human" condition, which we all seem to suffer from. Thanks for posting this one, Seiichi! I always enjoy your writings.
