Ankara Asyndeton

Ankara stands high, self-consciously there,
Wearing ancient clothes mixed with fashion.
Childhood remembers less noisy a ware,
Her street vendors claimed most that ration.
Their songs are outlawed, gone from the streets,
Replaced by cars, dusky clothed people.
Shops that sell all sorts of Turkish sweets,
Minarets abound , never steeple .
There’s clamor, chatter, animation ,
Movement, growth. Vivaciousness abounds,
New life, shows there, not only the sounds ,
Everywhere there is automation.
To tell what Ankara is, a task
She constantly changes it. A mask
