"It hurts when you push that hard" or "That's going to leave a mark"

Sinking down deep
in attitude and mood
Too much effort even to be lethargic
beginning to mope and brood

Waterless waves drowning positivity
Clawing for light
choking on black empathy
Drinking in poison night

Floating in loathing
Loathing the feeling
Pushing back only
causes more reeling

Stuck in the recesses
of past failures and present pain
Regressing and reflecting as
the dirges chorus repeats it's moldy refrain

Craggy mountain peaks
seem not worth the climb
They only blot out the sun
eclipsing all better times

Previously achieved escape
seem fake, out of reach
Hope, joy and sunshine
Mysteries or myths cloaked in mystique

The heavy handed thumb
and weighty pressing oppression
has pushed down once again
Imprinting his mark, a deep dark depression

this is pretty new and raw and i have a couple of ideas for a title, any thoughts or suggestions are welcome

After a year in limbo is it really still that raw? Wow...

I actually like it like it is...
