Terry Lee McGhee

Post by bags123 » Tue Jun 07, 2005 1:59 pm

Terry Lee McGhee

All along the paved highways
in the land of the free,
drives the broken down truck
of one Terry McGhee

Since his middle name turned out
to be one of three
He would shortly be known
by the nickname of Lee

Yes most would take umbrage,
and I'm sure you'll agree,
so be thankful your name's
so unlike his marquee

It rhymes and it chimes,
but most people think; "Gee"
I'm glad that my name's not
"Ter-ry Lee McGhee"

Thanks Carol. I'm so disappointed that the namesake of my poem has not reposted more of his appreciative comments. :computer:
