9-11 Remembered

Post by heinzs » Fri Sep 10, 2004 4:41 pm

9-11 Remembered

Proud and stately they once stood -
symbols of achievement and cooperation.
But the sons of Chaos, in their spite,
struck a savage blow deep into our hearts.
The pain and grief will not be assuaged,
but ever remembered in infamy.

Out of this darkness let us mold
our finest hour - brave and bold!

We have this opportunity to seize -
to rise above our baser instincts
and show the world our true nature.
Honor our fallen brethren
not in vengeful escalation,
but by forging a lasting peace!

From the cold ashes let us build
the utopian Eden God has willed!

So sad that we have missed that golden opportunity to show the world our true mettle and genuine nature. Instead we have invaded and ravaged a sovereign nation that was not involved in this incident because it was ruled by the "evil incarnate" who possessed (somewhat ethereal) weapons of mass destruction. What a shame that the 3000 victims of 9-11 should be used to justify a zealot's attempt at global "Americanization". I will never cease to be amazed an astounded that once labeled "a nation of sheep" we continue to follow unquestioningly a leadership shown to be of unreliable veracity and capable of any action to justify its ends. How will the history books of the future depict our time?

A beautiful tribute dear Heinz..I just had to read and post this one..
You have a way with words that amazes me and I do look up to you.
So sad the way the world is going Heinz..and to think of how many people died that day.. and it has carried on into a war and many many more are slain.. :bump:

I pray your evening is filled with peace in your heart and contentement.
