An Irish Da to his Daughter

Post by bags123 » Mon May 07, 2007 8:54 am

An Irish Da to his Daughter

Inform me when you're leaving
Before you actually go.
I won't permit decieving
Where you're at I want to know

I'm always unbelieving
until you've earned my trust,
and this is what good fathers do,
and what they feel they must.

So persevere your short time here,
while life is lived for free,
and get your Da another beer
Then bring it here for me.
I prefer to keep an open mind,....but not so much that my brains fall out.- Carl Sagan
Your brain is like an umbrella. It only works when it's open- Someone Smart

This could be from every father. The last line gave some humor to the seriousness I sense.
This above all to thine own self be true.
