NICKELODEON

Post by gordy » Thu Jun 13, 2002 10:48 pm

Gary is a snail
But he meows
Bob is a sponge
Don't ask me how
Squidwards voice is grating
But Zoe loves when I imitate him
Patrick is a buffoon
And m-o-o-n spells moon
Sandy is a squirrel
She is from the dry world
And plankton's on a mission
For Crabby Patties he goes a fishin'
But Mr. Crabbs
Says they're not up for grabs
Zoe and me, (she's only three)
Sitting, watching cartoons on t.v.

Cute poem, i hate the word cute, but it's fitting for this one. I can't wait till I have to watch cartoons, maybe then my daughter will sit still for 5 minutes!

I'll assume your talking about a t.v. show and therefore I'm missing out a little as I've never heard of it!....Still, a quaint piece regardless of it's reference.

Hello gordy, I am of the under privledged, not in tune with the young world entertainment of which your piece describes. (no children) If the title and other posts hadn't tipped me off. I'm not sure what I would have thought about this piece. LOL

Heh-heh!

Man! Do I remember those days well. My son is nearly seventeen now, but those days of Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street, and cartoons and such were both strange and in some way wonderful.

Enjoy.

Wonderful word-work, by the way.

actually the patrick and the m-o-o-n reference are both related to the t.v. movie of stephen king's " the stand." Does anybody know the connection? a little tv trivia......
